Access is made easier by the existence of Balea Lake Transfagarasan road, paved entirely.

Transfagarasan Road Romania Wallpaper
Transfagarasan road or path in the sky, is the most important road in Romania and one of the most spectacular in Europe. It crosses the Fagaras Mountains (maximum altitude – Moldoveanu Peak – 2544m) and connects Wallachia and Transylvania region.
Impressive altitude where there is – 2042 m, length of road which is only 152 km, the often spectacular winding road and the 27 bridges and viaducts, combined with wonderful scenery give the impression of endless track.

Transfagarasan hugs in its way some breathtaking vestiges : the massive hydroelectric dam Vidraru, the Goat Waterfall, the Balea tunnel (the longest in Romania), alpine nature reserve, Lake and Balea waterfall situated at highest altitude in Romania.
